Field report
A season with Morfeul on a family dairy farm
How a 180-cow dairy replaced a whiteboard, three spreadsheets and a group chat with one offline app.
When we brought Morfeul to a family dairy farm last spring, the brief was simple: fewer places to look, and nothing that stops working when the signal drops.
Before
Jobs lived on a whiteboard in the parlour. Treatments were in one spreadsheet, feed stock in another, and machinery hours in a notebook in the tractor. Anything urgent went to the family group chat.
The setup
Everyone on the farm installed Morfeul on their own phone. Fields, the herd and the machinery went in during the first week. The app synced between phones over the farm’s Wi-Fi, and worked as normal everywhere else.
What changed
The morning plan moved from the whiteboard to the app, so jobs could be ticked off from wherever they were done. Treatment records were entered at the cow, not hours later. The built-in assistant started flagging low feed stock and upcoming services before they became a problem.
We’ll share more once the pilot’s second season finishes.
